My wife is nice and behaves normally 99% of the time unless I do one of the following:

    • try to contact parents, family or friends
    • ,

    • use the internet outside of work purposes
    • ,

    • have any kind of social media presence
    • ,

    • read or watch science fiction or fantasy
    • .

So, as long as I have ‘harmless’ hobbies, no friends or internet access, she is not abusive towards me. I suspect covert narcissism, but strangely am not motivated to leave. I did leave once after she hit me, apparently by accident, but no longer feel that I am in physical danger. She denies hitting me, saying that I am delusional and paranoid, and often blames me for things. I have gone “grey rock” whenever she tries to gaslight me.

      Borderline personality disorder?
Or could be covert narcissism maybe.
Much less obvious than that other guy’s wife (the one that you said she sounded similar to yours if not more so).
